In the late 1920s, Tindinyo began its journey as a humble yet vital hub — home to a provision store and a water mill that not only ground maize but also supplied power to the Bhanjee residence and shop. A lasting reminder of this early development can still be found today: a foundation stone at the canal, proudly marking the project's beginning in 1927.
